can pictures be rearranged in an album?

I just created a new album (on SD card) and added about 50 photos and screen shots. I'd like to change the order of the pictures in the folder, but I don't see a way to do that. Does anyone know if it can be done?

The app you use to view the pictures determines the sort order - look in its menu. If there is no sort order, the order is in "order of where Linux put the directory entries", which means that it's a crap-shoot. (Files just go where they go. Delete them all and copy them all back and you may or may not get the same order.)

The only way you can make the files "be" in any particular order is to write an app, at Linux level, that will sort the directory in the order you prefer (date modified, size, etc.) Windows had programs written to do that (by many, many programmers) until Microsoft added /O to the dir command, so you could list by any order regardless of the physical order in the directory.
