My Galaxy Tab 3 is taking like 1 and a half too 2 days to completely charge, is there something i can do to make it charge faster like it used to when i first got it?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried a different cable and/or wall charging plug?

Are you using the factory supplied charger? Smaller, cheaper, chargers are not rated at 2 amps, will charge it slower

Also of note I have installed a battery save app and clean master which work great on my Samsung galaxy phone, but they aren't helping my tablet.

I am having the exact same problem. In fact, if the tablet is not turned off completely while charging, it will actually LOSE charge when plugged in with factory issued charger. I have closed all apps running in background. Very frustrating! !

Loose charge when plugged in, your tablet is not charging: bad cable or bad USB charging port.
This tool will tell exactly if your tablet is charging, current should be around 1.5 to 1.7 amperes

Galaxy Tab 3 has different models and screen sizes, you have to be specific which model, otherwise I have no idea what is wrong with your tablet.

Tab 3 7.0, USB port is soldered to main board, but larger Tab 3, USB port is on Flex FPCB and it's easy to replace.
Most people doesn't know that charging problem of Tab 3 7.0 like 210R or 2105 can be fixed via newest firmware update.

You can try a new USB charging port, it's only around $7 on Ebay.
If everything is fine, the only possible cause of this problem is cracked battery connector. Re solder will fix it, and it takes only under 5 minutes



This is a common problem in Samsung tablets: cracked battery connector.

My Samsung Tab3 8 inch is having the same problem. So i finally got it to charge when i connected it to my Computer.
I got it to go but, it took 5 hours to charge it. PS. My Computer Has USB 2.0 And 3.0
The cable i used was and old htc charger so if you have a newer one it will charge faster.
I also got a youtube channel and i will upload a video how to fix the problem.
Just Look For "PhoneAman" and you will find it.

You will have to remove the back cover and this is not something for the every day user to do. Try different cables and different chargers. If that doesn't solve the problem you may need to take it to a repair facility. If it is more than a Year and a half old you should replace the battery also!

My samsung tab 3 charging slot making problems, so i give for repair to a local mobile repairing shop. But that could't adjust it properly 2 or 3 times i have to visit him again & again, & know the charging jacket is fix properly ( as per my knowledge) but it's not charging properly. Its taking too much time to charge, i have change the cable, attach my tab for charging with my computer, but all in vain. Please tell me what to do

also if the batt is really flat the carger will get hot and cut down or cut out power it will start itself but faster to pull out an plug back in this is what i found with my s3 tab

Hello! I have this same issue with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 (T310). Tried other chargers but same problem exists. The Ampere app measures only 200 - 300 mA charging current. I have changed the internal USB Dock Charge Charging Port Flex Cable but no luck. Is it the battery that is bad? How to find out if it is?
