The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 inch does not have On the Go support sadly, the larger models do.

Do you have the Tab 3 7 inch or 8 inch.

You can try this app, it reads when something is connected to the port.

The tab 3 8" SM-T310 version has OTG and HDMI output! Check this site for other OTG compatibility!

I have Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 16 GB running 4.4.2, it does supports OTG. I've ever used wireless mouse with the usb connector

It should work, otherwise you have a bad USB port flex cable, a new one only around $6 to $8. Look on Ebay for new USB charging flex cable and change it. It happens all the time, an USB port charges fine but not working when connected to a computer or TV via an adapter.
