Screen Mirrorin problem

Hello All,

I am having a problem getting screen mirroring to work on my Tab Pro 12.2. I have installed Chrome Case device into the HDMI port on my tv.
At the present time the only thing I can view on my tv is You Tube.
Is my understanding correct that everything I can see on my tablet screen I should be able to see on my tv ?
I have enabled screen mirroring by changing the slide beside screen mirroring on my tablet. When it searches for a device my tablet does not find any device even though the Chrome Cast device is installed and does work.
Have I missed a setting that needs to be changed or can I not do what I want to.
I figure if anyone knows the answer it will be one of you pro`s.

Hi Larry,

Sorry you're having issues, but you got the Chromecast functionality a bit mixed up. The Screen Mirroring switch on the phone will only look for AllCast/MiraCast devices (smart TV's that support screen mirroring) on the same network. The Chromecast is a whole different thing, and that's why your'e not seeing it in that list.

But fret not, it still works... the switch for that is just somewhere else. You need to install the Chromecast app to your phone, open that, tap the menu button, and from the side menu slide-out select CAST SCREEN. There you go. Now it should work (as long as both the phone and Chromecast are in the same network and your router isn't blocking the necessary ports).
