Mirror/Cast Screen to Sony TV

Hi Folks: I cannot get my Pixel 3XL (Android 12) to Cast the screen to my Sony Android TV (XBR-43X800H). Using the Google Home app on my phone, I select Cast my screen. After the Cast to mirror device and Start recording or casting popups, the TV screen goes blank, and the casting icon is red.

Some specific apps will cast from the phone to the TV if they are showing the Chromecast icon, and I activate it that way, but I cannot get screen mirroring to work.

I have factory reset the TV, updated the TV Android OS, and reinstalled the Home app several times

Any suggestions?

I am using this app on my Google Pixel phone and mirroring the screen to Sony TV is quite good. I can share the phone screen, transfer pictures, videos in the phone to the TV and cast videos on youtube to the TV right on it.

You can try: Open app=> select Screen mirroring => select Smart TV => Press Start and allow "A single app" => Your screen has been mirrored to the TV.
