While trying to install CyanogenMod for the first time, I screwed up and ended up having soft bricked the device, only being able to go into default recovery mode and download mode. However, when I try to use Odin, the device cannot be recognized, and will not show up. Attempting to flash the stock rom simply leaves this message:

I have tried Heimdall, but that does not work on 4.4.x Samsung devices. What can I do to fix the device?
