Used voice-to-text on my GW4 and a terrible thing happened!

When I spoke a curse word, I got the dreaded **** to censor what I said!

I've got to figure out how to turn that off

When I tried to go into settings on the watch, I couldn't find a way to turn that function off. It's weird how settings are labeled though. I am using Gboard, but one page of settings states Samsung is the default, but then on another page of settings it's not. Anyway, the settings on my phone for each keyboard have that awful censoring function turned off, in case that had something to do with it. I'm also using Google Messages app for the GW4 so I guess I'll have to hunt for it there also.

Any ideas?

It's part of the language we speak, so yes. Why does Samsung and other's get to decide how we want to speak. Other apps have a option to turn the filter on or off. Android was built on choices and customization.

It's an occasional thing, and the keyboards on our phones have the option to disable, so why isn't Google/Samsung giving us the setting with the watch, which is merely an extension of our phones?

Do you need to use gender specific pronouns to communicate? No.

Why did you bother to even comment in this thread if you aren't of agreement with the issue or have a solution?

Speaking for myself, I haven't run into this yet, but it irritates me knowing it's there... Waiting.

Maybe you're 11 and your mum bought you your watch, I don't know your life. But I'm a grown adult who paid for this thing with their own money, and neither Samsung, Google or even my own mother have any say in whether or not I say naughty words to it.
