Coming from the apple watch it's amazing how many faces are available for the galaxy watch. With apple you are extremely limited which is sad for apple users. If you can't find a face in the app store for galaxy something is wrong.

I'm a bit surprised about the number of watch faces for the Apple watch being so limited. With apps it's the other way around isn't it?
Anyhow, welcome to the GW community.

Having many watch faces available on Android was a novelty for a bit. At the moment I'm keeping it simple on the GW3 and sticking with the original stock one.

totally agree. now I only use one and got rid of the rest. Need something simple and easy to see with my old eyes.

I can't get away from the stock GW3 45mm watch face. I haven't found one I like better. On my OG GW I switched all the time.

I had purchased watchmaker premium for Android Wear and just went to install the companion app for my GW3. There is a charge for it because it's through the Galaxy Store. I guess that makes sense since it's Tizen but I'm not pleased.

Anyone try using Facer..? Pretty fun and easy to use!

They have free and paid versions & try before you buy I believe..

There's a good bit of fluff but also some pretty decent Watchfaces also.

Just placed my order for a Galaxy Watch 3, coming from a Gear S3 Frontier. Anyone know if all the watchfaces I have in my Samsung Wearables app will simply transfer to the Watch 3?

Unless the watch face is very specifically for the watch model (most will work on many models), then they should all work. I only had a couple that did not work, buy they had not been updated in a long while and I think are no longer under development.

Sometimes, you will have to find the watch face with the same name that will be for the new model. Depends on the Dev really.

Threw this together on Facer this morning..

Simple and festive

In my experience they don't. Take note of which ones you want to download again.

No, they won't automatically download but its a simple matter of going to app and downloading them. Guess Samsung figures you may not want all of them on your new watch so pick what you want.

UPDATE: I have had the new GW3 for a couple weeks now. Some of the watch faces from the Gear S3 did transfer over, but some of the more complex digital watch faces I had to track down from the developer and re-download. And I actually had to re-purchase 2 of them. No complaint -- at $1.99 each (or less) I can understand compensating the developer for significant updates.

BTW, I'm really loving the update from the Gear S3, probably driven by the updated version of Tizen that comes on it. Seems snappier, more accurate.
