So my sister and dad have both had a problem with their Transforms where they will hit the power button to lock the phone, but when they hit the power button again to wake it, the phone doesn't have the "Slide to Unlock" thing. Now I have an EVO, and have not experienced this, so I am assuming that this is a transform issue, and not an android issue (we all use our phones for the same things, so I would assume if there was a glitch in Android it would have popped up for me also.)

Let me know if anyone knows how to fix this issue and what causes it. Thanks!

I have noticed something similar. When I use the power button to put the phone to sleep the touch buttons will still be illuminated. and if I immediately wake it back up there is no slide to unlock. However if I press the power button twice it will put it to sleep completely and then I have the slide to unlock when I wake it up. I kept noticing I would get the phone out of my posket and there would be an app or program running and I just knew I had put it to sleep. Not sure if this is a Transform glitch or part of ANdroid. I have only had the phone for a week and still trying to figure it all out after coming from a Pre.

i have a transform and i have noticed this happening a few times as well...in for an answer

i have this exact same thing happening to me, but i actually am glad i don't have to unlock it everytime i wake my phone up...

I have had the problem to and what I do to fix the problem is to do a battery pull and then the lock screen should work.

Unfortunately there is no fix @ the moment that I have found. I use the lock pattern and I don't have this issue as often as I did. Still this is very annoying and hopefully if or whenever Samsung submits a update this will get resolved.

From my experience, there is a bug in Samsungs phone application. If you do not hang up using the slider and you are not using a headset the phone will not always relock. There are three solutions to this:

1. Reboot the whole phone.
2. Using advanced task killer or some other task killer with security set to "low" or whatever it takes to see all processes, kill the com.samsung.phoneinfo application which will cause the phone to do a soft reset.
3. Place a phone call and hang up using the slider (some times I just call voicemail and hangup)
