I hope this is the right place to post this question...

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the Android GUI on my tablet from the current
Gnome desktop/interface to the KDE or LXDE desktop/interface?
Or, are there any plans to be able to do so for tablets?

Yeah, I was thinking of using a light version of Debian but don't know how to find or save the drivers for the tablet.
I was just hoping someone had a way to just convert the desktop/gui over to a standard desktop computer desktop.
I know the kernel is linux but everything else is java so I'm guessing the gui is java too...

The KDE desktop is more resource heavy than the Xfce desktop.

If you're looking for something lightweight, Xfce would probably be best.
