Replacement policy??

Hey I had been using a Sony Xperia sola for about 7 months after which the touch screen stopped working. I gave my phone to the service centre 2 months ago. 2 weeks ago they called to tell me that they would offer me an Xperia p as a replacement. I have still not received anything. My question is, how long warranty should I get for the replaced phone? Since it will be a new piece I should get a year long warranty , shouldn't I?

I'm pretty sure that a warranty replacement doesn't extend the warranty past the end of your current warranty. I could be wrong though.
