Google Maps Force Close Error

When trying to search for something on Google Maps or even just move the map around, the app is force closing. I'm not even getting an option to report this so that it can be fixed.

What build/rom are you running? Have you tried clearing data from the Google Maps application?

I am running stock 2.3.

I can't clear the data from the app because that option is not available. It seems that just having Google Maps open will cause it to force close after a couple of minutes.

I don't remember 2.3 exactly, but you should be able to. You want to go into something like Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Maps and clear the data. This worked for me with the same problem, but I'm on CM9 4.0.4 at this point.
