Epic 2 days old and keyboard backlight failing.

Today the backlight on the keyboard and on the bottom buttons is having problems. Part of the time the backlight doesn't come on when I slide the keyboard out. If it does, it goes off when I start typing and it flickers dimly when I press the keys.

The backlight for the bottom buttons also flickers when they're touched, and sometimes it flickers on when I type on the keyboard. It also flickers when I press the camera and volume buttons.

Take it back and get a new one...

possible solution

I had the keyboard timeout set to same as screen, which I have at 2 minutes. I changed the keyboard timeout to 15 seconds then hit home and opened the keyboard.

Lights! And doesn't go out and flicker while typing. Also, the screen butons act normal again where only the one touched flashes instead of all of them, nor do they flash when typing. Using the screen buttons would also make the keyboard light flash.

I set the keyboard timeout back to same as screen and the lights still work right.

Looks like a software glitch! Hopefully Gingerbread won't have it.
