I've encountered this before in other browsers but never identified it. I'm test driving Firefox but am hesitant to switch for reason below.

Device: Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
OS: Android 14 (OneUI 6.0)
Browser: Firefox Beta (and Stable)
Keyboard: Swift and GBoard

When I'm typing in a text box, like Google Reviews, Disqus or even forums (especially Xeno based like here), during longer posts (sometimes immediately), the cursor jumps all over the place and I can't type properly or even highlight to fix or copy and paste what I wrote. Anyone know the cause and/or fix? Right after I typed that it started twitching like it's about to start messing up.

Does it also happen in Chrome or Samsung Internet? If so, see if it also happens in Safe Mode on those browsers. If it goes away, then something you installed is probably causing that glitch.

Another possibility would be a screen protector causing phantom touches (if present).

Funny I came across my own post looking this up.. It's happened with various combinations Chrome with SwiftKey and Firefox with Samsung.

Now I remember why I switched. Apparently it's still not fixed.

Well as usual im posting back to provide feedback for those that encounter this in the future. Or myself in the future.

Samsung Keyboard - Disable Predictive Text. It's broken. (keyboard functionally useless now).

SwiftKey - Dont use the Beta. It causes other issues too that i duscovered afterwards as well.

So mystery solved. Two buggy AF keyboards.
