how to recive calls withou a + plus in front of the number when someone calls me?

i have a galaxy s3, when someone calls, it adds a " +" plus mark when they call, How so I remove the + mark when they call because when i try to call them back it says its international> Help?

See if there's a setting for it in the dialer. I've never seen this before so I don't know how much help I can be.

If you don't hear anything from someone more experienced with this soon, call Verizon and tell them what's happening. They should be able to help. I Googled it and couldn't find anything.
