About a year ago, AT&T contacted me after I was tethering my Laptop from my HTC Inspire for about a month while I was on vacation. I was using Easy Tether Pro very successfully. They told me that if I continued to use my phone in that manner that I would be CHARGED for the service. That was almost a year ago, in November. I think I have heard that carriers can no longer charge for tethering. Is that true? If I were to use the Easy Tether Pro program with my HTC and my tablet am I safe to not be bothered by AT&T or do I run the risk of additional charges? Any help here will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for replies.

I'm on ATT and pretty much terrified to tether for fear of being hammered by them. Sometimes I wonder if I could tether my phone and tablet while using a VPN but TTL thing still worries me.
