Video playback in tmobile s3

Not sure how I did it but the other day I was watching a video on my s3 and somehow I "pulled" the player out and had picture in picture so to speak. I can't seem to found how I did it. Any ideas?

The PIP is only available with the stock media player. Start the player playing a video and tap the Box with an arrow pointing to a smaller box in lower right corner of the screen.

This issue is new to me, I came from Sprint Galaxy S3 w/ Jelly Bean and this never happened to me.
