Landscape keyboard..

How can we fix this. When texting in landscape mode the keyboard take up 90% of the screen. It is ridiculous, to have such a big screen and the dang keyboard takes it up. Pictures below? The blue is how big the screen is when trying to read a text.

What app is that? Have you tried looking in the settings to see if it has an option to make it smaller?

Its the default messages.. No 3rd party app

That's definitely SwiftKey keyboard app, not default. Hold the 123 (swiftkey logo) button for more settings/quick settings. There's size adjustment there albeit very slim pickings.

Well yes the keys are swift.. But even with the factory setting it's still that big..

Also the 123 did work... But only 10% keyboard still takes up more than half the screen :/
