I rooted my phone yesterday mainly for tethering. I use my phone as my internet connection while I'm storm chasing. Well today was a chase day and everything was working great until I hit edge network and then i couldn't get any data on my laptop. It showed a local connection, but no internet. Now I haven't tested this since and I have 3g at home so I can't test it there. Does anyone know if this is how it is supposed to work and if so is there a work around? I'm hoping it was just a fluke and will work fine chasing the next couple days. We have my wife's iPhone 4 using mywi as a backup just in case though. Should I be able to use edge using the wireless ap in Android?
