1 week old - can no longer hear people during phone calls

As the title says... The only way i can have a conversation with the caller is to have the phone on speaker.

I have done a factory reset and it has not fixed the issue. There is no voice at all coming through the top earpiece..I know
some of you will ask, the volume is all the way up during a call.

Has anyone else come across this issue or am one of the lucky ones. As much as i love samsung phones
i have to admit Samsung support is terrible, so i thought i'd try my luck here first.

Sounds like a defective device ! We need an electronic lemon law!
