1 year old cableconnect weakening

Hi my galaxy s3 is one year old and the cableconnector is starting to feel a bit loose.
Has anyone else noticed this.

This wouldn't be uncommon depending on the amount of usage on your USB port/cable.

You could try ordering a new USB cable to see if that helps tighten things up a bit. Some swear by the OEM cable that came with the device, but that also comes at a steeper price tag from the carrier/OEM. Or you can take the alternative and purchase a less expensive (normally in a couple dollar range) 3rd party USB cable off Amazon or eBay which for most will do the job nicely.

Only other alternative is if you feel its getting to the point of causing trouble and you do have carrier/store insurance on the device to make a claim and see about having it serviced/replaced before it goes belly up and you can't maintain a dependable/stable connection any longer.

After all your USB port is the lifeline to your device. Without that functioning properly life can become very difficult with a faulty USB port.

Or just get a wireless charging back & pad and do away with USB charging altogether.
