I just checked for updates for the heck of it and found a new update. It wasn't clear initially what it was, but it showed Sept 1 security patch, so I was a bit confused. It appears it's a stability update based on the change log.

Code:
Build Number : G991USQU4AUIL
Android version : R(Android 11)
Release Date : 2021-10-11
Security patch level : 2021-09-01
• Overall stability of your device has been improved.
• The security of your device has been improved

Nothing October about this AUIL update except its release.

Build date = 24 September 2021

Android Security update = 01 September 2021

SamMobile

The latest build rolling out to locked and unlocked U.S. devices is AUIN which does have the October Android Security patch.

Be wary... I installed the security patch Friday morning and for some strange reason it bricked my S21+ beyond repair and I was forced to purchase another one.

As in you sent it in to have it looked at or you couldn't do it yourself?

I couldn't do it myself nor could any tech at T Mobile resolve the issue. The phone.. An S21+ wouldn't stay turned on for more than 10 seconds.. It just kept cycling on and off.. So they couldn't get in..
