10 Months in.....Still Love It

I loved my BB devices. I was always the one who ran out on launch day to buy the latest and greatest. I still miss BB10. I still believe that was the best OS out there but the app gap did them in.

Android is different. You are correct to say that it lack character. Slab phones can blend in without any differing characteristics. When you are using a BlackBerry, people know it is a BlackBerry.

Still comes down to using what works best for the individual, no matter what OS it is.

I love BlackBerry! The only time I ever got a new phone right around launch was the BlackBerry Q10. Love and miss that phone!

That was a great device. I remember the hype for that phone (at least for BB diehards). I also remember going from OS7 to BB10. That was a big transition but BB10 was such an intuitive OS and one that just flowed. Still miss it to this day and wish it stuck around.

I am still using my 2016 Pixel(sailfish) and my 2017 Pixel 2 XL (Panda)
I have them on separate lines.
Both still work flawlessly
I doubt that I will update either of them this year

Not sure if it is just the fact that the "upgraded" models are marginally more improved than the predecessors because we are flat lining in the smartphone world.

Previously an upgraded model was definitely worth paying the extra money for. Now, I just don't see it, IMO.

Agreed, the Pixel 2 & 2xl are great phones. I have the 2, we recently bought a 2xl for hubby because I thought he should be upgraded.

He's loving the 2xl, although he previously had a Pixel 1xl & didn't know if he really needed an upgrade. I convinced him that he did

What a SWEETHEART you are! I'm hoping that "someone" convinces me that I NEED to be upgraded from the P2 to the P3!!

Snap!! My hubby loves his P2XL now.

Us men can be hard headed sometimes... Lol

I remember the hype too - it was huge! And I definitely loved BB10. I loved the Hub, the gestures, and the combination of physical keyboard versus touchscreen was just superb.

Was the BB that good of a phone? never used them .

Absolutely! (In my unbiased opinion!) I really loved the experience. And I miss the physical keyboard. BB10 was out of this world and advanced for its day, in my opinion.

BB10, IMO, was the best OS out there. Everything that was done in that OS was just smooth and flowed.

Those who have used it know exactly what I am talking about. Was a great OS, too bad the app gap did it in.

Wish I could've experienced it ..

I have a 2 XL, and love it. Best dang camera around, which is very important to me. If anything, the phone's performance has improved on Pie (primarily when it comes to the battery). I'm sure Google won't want to hear this, but I doubt I'll see any good reason to upgrade to the Pixel 3 or 3 XL.

I love the speed and simplicity of the software though I think it wouldn't kill Google to add a few things. The adaptive brightness on 9/Pie is driving me crazy. Though I have finally come around on using Assistant and the squeeze as it can be handy sometimes. The hardware otherwise is nothing inspiring. I was in a meeting today next to someone with an S8 or S9 and we both had our phones out sitting on the table and with both screens off, AoD on the Samsung screen is pitch black other than the AoD text. Mine has this lightness to it, almost looks grayish in the background. It's probably nothing but it kind of made me want that hardware but the software is what keeps me away.

The camera on this Pixel 2, that's why I'm here and it has not failed to impress every time I use it. I take tons more pics since I got the Pixel 2 and I love it.

The AoD on Samsung is awesome, since the s8 and up the Samsung phones feel just as fluid as pixel. I would recommend playing with them in carrier store or best buy to get a better feel . But I think your going be more happier with your pixel, just a gut feeling lol

I am in the same boat and have the same feelings. I see no reason for me to upgrade as well.

I'll be watching reliable reviewers and looking at the new Pixel 3 in the Verizon store.
Unless of course I lose all control during launch day and hit the order button. :p

I did, I went to Best buy three times before I bought the Pixel 2. I played with the Pixel 2, 2XL, V30, Note 8, S9 and S9+. While I can live with the software, as I have before ( had an S7 till about 14 months ago) the real issue for me is the hardware with the curved screen. I just don't like using it, I don't like the feel of the narrow edge. I want a flat screen. I counted the apps preloaded too, I got to 90 on the S9+ and finally just stopped because there was still a lot left. The Pixel 2 had like 23 at the time. I know the S9 has more features but that seems excessive.

Still, there's a part of me keeping an eye on note 9 deals.....
