Thank you for this. While I agree with most of this there are a couple of things I disagree with.
#1 . Agreed, that's why I left the 4S and went with the gs3.
#2 . Ok, I guess. I don't really like widgets. But if you did it's no different then crowding up the homepages with widgets and app shortcuts etc. makes it kinda messy.
#3 . Fileapp pro and air disk allow you to do this. Multiple attachments in one email.
#4 . Passbook seems like its going to be big and supposedly many retailers and services are jumping on board. But who knows, I'm not big into NFC anyway, have it turned off on my gs3.
#5 . Simply not true, many many apps to connect wirelessly to the iPad and browse. See above about fileapp pro and air disk. Just 2 of many. Plus there are tons of cloud services that work on iOS, including google drive.
#6 . I like the stock ios keyboard very much, no need to change it. But yeah, if you're into swype, then it's poo.
7#. First thing I did on my gs3 is turn off haptic feedback. Lol. I mean I guess it's nice to have the option, but blah, I bet most people don't like it (based on my survey of one.)
#8 . 3rd party manufacturers make plenty of cheap (as in money, not quality) adapters, cables, etc. and you don't have to buy new accessories, you just buy the adapter, then everything still works. No big deal.
#9 . Yes agreed, but the list is soooooo damn long when I want to share. Anyone know of a way to shorten this? Why can't I shorten this in settings? Choices people, people!
#1 0. Agreed, I'll be jealous of my wife when I get her the note 2. But how much of this is practical. We won't know till its released.
Please note that I am an android user. I have a gs3 & a nexus 7. I also have an iPad. I love all my devices, I am a technology fanboy. While at one time I was a pure apple fanboy and iSheep, I have seen the error in my ways and have become less enchanted with them over the last year. But I still do love my iPad. I only point out the above specifically so that people can understand the point of view from someone who has used the iOS products for quite a long time and know what it can and can't do. Is it perfect, no, neither is android, nor windows, or any other device. We use our devices to the best of their ability and what works for us. Seeing the article makes me wonder if the writer really used an iOS device and didn't just look at a spec sheet. Yes I have defended apple in the past because I have been a user for a long time and know how it works, maybe not 100%, but pretty well.
I'm just giving a fair and balanced response.![]()

Sometimes mixing and matching 3rd party cords to your brand phone can cause a battery overheating, laggy device or even explode it. That's a visual!
