12 Hours and Counting!

I will be picking up this phone sometime this week I hope. I want something new from the DX and looking for LTE. And then picking up a lapdock maybe.

I haven't had to do a full charge on this phone since I bought it, I know you are supposed to let it drain down and do a full charge to condition the battery but after a full day use being at 50% or so its a little hard to do that, as I can't just leave it unplugged to drain as I need it throughout the day, i guess what I'm saying is the. Battery life removes the worry about how long it would take to charge from a low charge.

I unplugged my phone at 6:am its now going on 6pm I still have 60%. I would say medium to heavy usage. Screen turned full bright. Data on all day switching between 3g and lte. Streamed a little music using wi-fi. Texting calling so its doing pretty good.
I have to say coming from the Razr Im starting to like this phone lots.....
It aint going back. Selling or recycling the Razr....

Well 12 hours and at 51%. I would say I've had moderate to heavy use. I'm impressed!

I will add. I charged my phone up to full overnight, unplugged it. I have light use for the day, as I was too busy for the most part, but used it for regular email polling, some light internet surging, and a few phone calls and texts.

I went at 9 PM would would have been 14 hours, and the phone was still at 90%. I went to bed, and woke up, and after total of 24 hours, it was at 80%.

Now again, this is with very light usage, but in comparison, my Droid X would have been at about 20% when I went to bed after 14 hours off charge, with same exact usage.

I like this phone and battery combination. I am now on 28 hours, and it is at 60%, as I am now in the mix of normal daily use, so it has dropped 20% in the first 4 hours of use in a regular day.

I just finished running videos on mine for 12 hours. It started at 97% and, a few minutes after the 12 hour mark, stopped running the video when it came up with a 15% warning. The videos were running almost constantly, with a break of about an hour when I took a walk and ran the GPS and a mapping program.

I was on the fence as to whether to get this or the Samsung Galaxy Nexus with the removable battery, figuring I'd carry a couple of batteries around fro the SGN. But the battery life of this one looks like it will work out just fine.

(By the way: What's not to like about the screen? It's great.)

I sure wish i knew how you went 12 hours, and still had 51% left.. I took mine off the charger at 6:00AM and at 6:30PM it was at 5%!! That, forced me to put it on the car charger.. I was using google navigator for about 4 hours straight, & the screen was on for the same amount of time. Set at 'auto brightness" sent about 60 text messages, had Facebook Widget running constantly in the backround, and checked email on two accounts about 25 times... I know that's considered Heavy Usage, but WHY am I NOT getting the same results as you.. I am not even close... Do you think i should send my Razr Maxx back, and get another new one??

I would say its worth a shot. I've noticed better battery life after messing around with settings and such. I used to get 50% out of 12 hours. Now I'm getting better.
