My phone works great on the TMO network, but in my TMO account, they think it's an iPhone 13 and I cannot figure out how to change it to the 13. Maybe there isn't a way to do this. Help is appreciated.
Not yet. They like to charge when you call them, so I avoid that if I can. It's not a big deal, but it is annoying. That sounds like something you should speak to T-Mobile support about. Have you done that yet?
I change phones often mostly unlocked phones and they usually show up something that is not... but personally I pay no mind to it why does it matter? why do you want it to show up as a OnePlus 13?My phone works great on the TMO network, but in my TMO account, they think it's an iPhone 13 and I cannot figure out how to change it to the 13. They don't charge to call them, what are you referring to that they would possibly charge for?Not yet. They like to charge when you call them, so I avoid that if I can. It's not a big deal, but it is annoying.
It looks like this is relatively recent -- they can charge $5 for a support call: https://www.t-mobile.com/community/...arge-for-speaking-with-customer-service/95769They don't charge to call them, what are you referring to that they would possibly charge for?
Mine have been a mix of both. Before and after it started happening. Past 3 or 4 were/are carrier phones I dunnoI agree if it's not branded mine are all unlocked they have wrong colors and it's definitely not worth chasing but you would have to call customer service if they can even change it without calling an engineer lol
Well aren't I glad I left them thenIt looks like this is relatively recent -- they can charge $5 for a support call: https://www.t-mobile.com/community/...arge-for-speaking-with-customer-service/95769
Just like the insurance companies are sick and tired of people going to the ER for a cough and the sniffles phone companies are tired of people customer service for nonsense.Well aren't I glad I left them then
Yeah, it's a minor irritation, but I've generally had a good experience with T-Mobile over the past 10 years or so -- better (and cheaper) than my days with Verizon, and I hear too many bad things about AT&T in my area.Well aren't I glad I left them then
Oh I'm still using tmobile network but using Mint Mobile now..I was with tmobile for 10+ years, but that 180 for a year of service I couldn't pass upYeah, it's a minor irritation, but I've generally had a good experience with T-Mobile over the past 10 years or so -- better (and cheaper) than my days with Verizon, and I hear too many bad things about AT&T in my area.![]()
