I had the idea to clean up my old text messages. For some reason - probably because I've been flirting with the dreaded <20 MB message lately - I checked my free memory before and after I deleted all threads. I went from 22 MB free to 36 MB free!

I'm not a huge app user, I probably have 30-40 apps installed on my N1. I've moved what I can to the SD card. My question is are there any other memory holes that I can clean up to free up more memory?

I remember from back in the G1 days that clearing the Market data might release some space. Also a factory reset (also from the early days). Are those still recommended? Anything else?

That the only problem I have with my N1, not enough space!!! You also have to look into some apps as they'll build up huge cache (eg engadget).

I've download history eraser to help clear some stuff up.

Thanks for that link, the Movies app has a bigger data store than Maps and the browser combined!
