It's no Galaxy Tab but for 140 bucks and no contract, might not be too bad. Only problem is im sure it has no market... But there's always ways around that

That's not bad...not bad at all...i saw on walgreen.com a maylong m150 tablet for 99 bucks...there's no market on that on either but Im glad that companies are staying competitive and offering a wide range of high and low end tablets... This on seems like a good deal though...I'm trying hard not to buy a ipad

just got one online at 10pm. how do you get apps or games on this tab if it has no market support?

So I am completely new at all of this and looking at buying this tonight. I plan to buy it tonight and figure all of this out later so I need the bottom line: is it possible to get android market on this device?

I'm curious also. I was actually thinking of buying one for my kid. He will be happy if her can browse the web and play youtube videos, but I wanna know if out will do more. If someone buys one of these, let us know please. Happy thanksgiving!

from other reviews online it seems to be pretty good speed wise and video wise. just not sure about this market issue though

the one from Kmart and Toys R Us does have the market, atleast that what they say in the add. "Has thousands of apps to make this your own" Plus they both are running 2.1 so you would think that it has the market but not flash. :(

for info on the toys r us tab check out the threads on it over at androidtablets and slatedroid.

I have the toys r us one and am happy with it so far especially for the money i paid for it.

So far i have google market working using instructions found at slatedroid. i've changed launchers. The device is rooted.

I'm in the process of working on a solution to one of the biggest drawbacks about it which is battery.

The firmware the device shipped with is still a beta firmware there are issues with the HDMI and USB to pc Connection piece. however you can connect a usb hub to the device and connect a keyboard and thumbdrives and such.

There's plenty more reading about them at the two links above. Also the one at K-mart wasn't the same tablet as the one at toys r us it was a Augen The GENTOUCH78. Which is a slower processor but has a larger community writing roms and such for it. anyways hope this info is still useful to some.

Kmart also had a Sylvana tab and it is the same one as ToyRUs

That's good to know. Our K-mart had only the augen Gentouch 78.

I'm absolutely loving mine. and so does my 2 yr old son He's a connect the dots junkie :-p

also a new firmware was release that fixed alot of the issues with this device. You can now connect to the pc and dump data to the sd and such. Still no usb debugging however but adb wifi works just fine.

Also now has a recovery where you can wipe the device back to factory.
