Overall the phone is great, the thing absolutely flies. 4g is superfast.

nagging issues:

-Bluetooth is glitchy. Worked for about an hour in the car then something updated and it started cutting in and out.

-Phone reboots itself if dropped onto a CARPETED AND PADDED surface from more than 6".

other than that, havent had an issue with the the rest of it. phone does run HOT if you have alot of updating to do.

How many times did you test this? Have you tried it on a kitchen floor or in the driveway yet? Same result?

Sorry for the sarcasm but, your report seemed odd/funny.

I understand the nature of that problem being counter intuitive. However, if there is a problem with the batterydoor that makes it not hold the battery securely from only a 2-3" drop (say off your lap in the car, or on the couch), it is very irritating to have the phone shut itself off. I wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues. If the phone is THAT sensitive to being dropped, ill likely return it and get something sturdier. My Thunderbolt went through its paces, and aside from an incident where the case, battery door and battery all went in different directions after impact, the thing never once shut down or turned off from being dropped.

This phone isn't for everyone. If you don't like the fact the battery will come out if dropped....well, don't drop it. Or put it in a case if you tend to drop it a lot.

If you plan on dropping your phone put a case on it and the battery won't come out.

My battery isnt popping out. The best way I can describe it is, say you took it out of your pocket or went to set it down on the counter upon arriving home. If I set the top edge of the phone onto the counter then let the phone slide out of my hand so the bottom edge of the phone then kinda "plops" down onto the counter, itll shut off. I dont plan on dropping my phone anymore than anyone else does, But I feel such a slight jolt to the phone shouldnt cut it off.

I had a BB device about 5 years ago that did that with a Seido (I think) battery. It was losing contact with the phone. Same thing you are describing.

Might be a defect with yours, but a small piece of paper folded once and placed in the battery compartment fixed my issue.

Official, the phone is defective. Went to Verizon today and showed them the problem. They called the higher ups and they said nothing could be done about it till thursday at the soonest because they are locked out from selling any of the units IN-store. they also said the white version is on backorder already and it would be weeks before a new one was ready. So for now, my only resolution is to wait till thursday and get a blue one from the store.. oh well, doesnt matter to me considering im getting a case for it anyway.

Good deal. Kinda surprised the white is sold out.
