I'm thinking about it too. This guy is the htcexpress.com seller. I just ordered the two 1500mah plus charger there for $30. 1700mah sounds pretty good if it actually is

These are not on their htcexpress.com website yet. If they are actually bigger batteries I will be bummed as I just ordered their 1500mAh batteries. I did have great luck with their Incredible batteries.

I ordered this from the HTC web site and just put the battery in today. It so far is GREAT! I havent done much so far today but on comparison with my regular battery which was working pretty well this is much better. Its been 12 hours, I did various surfing and mail check through the day, had it on wifi since then, played on it a bit and I still have 80% power left. Now its a percentage of a larger amount in comparison to the stock battery, with the same activity on the stock Id be around 50%. But for $45.00 I got 2 count them 2 batteries and a wall charger (that also has a USB port so the phone can be connected too!) Its an official HTC battery, says its the same as the mytouch 4g battery and the HTC Merge charger. The cover is a real pain to get on and off but a much better choice than a bulky extended battery with no case. My stock battery got much better as it got trained so I expect even better from this. I hope these things work. I keep hearing that after about 6 months these batteries die out and are useless. Please keep us posted on it's performance. I'm not telling you how to do it but you should put in the stock 1400 battery and use it normally during a day from 100% charge. Log everything you did and then change to the 1700 the next day and do the same thing. I would be interested to see the difference.

I just got this battery 5 minutes ago and put it side by side with the seidio and it is actually slightly heavier, i'm hoping the extra weight is extra juice .
It is also a hair bigger. Very hard to tell though.

$40 for an extra 200 mAh? Seriously? You can get 12 of the 1500 mAh for the same price as 2 of those.

I have these, and they have been running like champs for a few weeks now. I'm using one now, and at 16 hours with 2 hrs screen on time, and still have 26% left (on 3G).

Don't waste your money on the 1700s folks.

Well, I've read more bad things about ChiChiTec, than the excellent rated eBayer I bought from.

And where do you think HTCexpress gets their stuff from? Do you see a UL listing on them? Didn't think so. It's all the same stuff with a different label and much different prices.

Yep, has an 800 mA USB output. It's the identical charger (same LED bar, same size, etc.).
