so i recieved my dx in the mail today from verizon but i wasnt home so i just got around to plugging it in before using it. when i plugged the battery in it said it was at 70% anyone who can gimme an estimate as to how long i have to let it charge before i can use it. its 12:10 am here and i would like to activate and set it up before i go to sleep. thanks in advance!!

I don't understand, why can't you activate it now or even while it is charging?

i could but isnt it better for the battery to let it charge fully first before using it at all? i thought you had to fully charge the battery before using it for the first time in order to get the most out of your battery life?

Not lipo's....it already has its first charge...hence the 70%. There's no memory in lipo like Mah batts.

bit more details on lipo batteries, they have a max charge cycle they are rated for. I wanna say the DX is like 300....could be wrong.
A cycle is 100%
So, a cycle could be 0-100 one time
or 50 to 100 two times
it doesn't matter where you start or finish the charge.

They're lithium batteries so you don't have to worry about them losing memory charge. If your phone is at 70% you can use it. For the first three nights try to give it a good charge of 8-12 hours, after that you are fine.

Its usually good to shut the phone off and charge it for a few cycles for these kinds of battery. But only the first few cycles. No need to do it everyday.
