1x on new prl while roaming?

any ideas y now all of sudden it less coverage while roaming anyone else has the same problem I have not seen 3g since started roamin im 2.2.2reborn and it always has been working on 3g when roaming

Read the whole thread there - very good information.

Depending on your geographical location, you may be hurting on roaming for a while until new roaming agreements are reached.

wow i can't believe sprint would let something like this happen, I haven't seen any difference in coverage from where i live and i hope their coverage doesn't get any worse.

Luckily I do not have this problem due to the fact my prl (1115) is considered a business account so I still can roam on 3g. When I signed up I went under my companies employees discount account.

I'm telling. U this new prl is crappy. Now I'm at work and I roam and I use to be in 3g now I'm on 1x wow I'm gonna call in the morning and let them know .....

wait so if we don't update prl then we still get the old service coverage becuase i rarely ever check for an update unless I have problems with not getting 3g and since I'm not having any I'm not gonna update espically if it's going to make it worse.

This is something this morning I was checking my wife's phone her prl is 01115 and mine is just 1115. What's the difference there. We are on the same account, I added her last month to my account. WEIRD!

My wife and I had an interesting experience last weekend when we were up in the "thumb" region of Michigan. My wife has a business account and has PRL 1115, I do not and have PRL 60679. We both have Optimus S's. There was definitely a dramatic difference in roaming coverage between the two PRLs as far as data went. Interestingly, overall, PRL 60679 turned out to be better, even though she was showing 3g data and I was showing 1x data. We were obviously connected to different roaming towers as she was barely getting one bar signal, and I was getting 4 bars. Even at 1x, my phone was killing hers at loading the exact same websites. Now, in the interest of full disclosure, I'm rooted and oc'ed, and she is stock, but still the real world difference was too dramatic to be just due to oc'ing. I'm sure these results are probably not typical, but I'm just putting it out there.

I live in indiana and the coverage is good, but whenever I go to chicago (uptown) I can not even get 3G coverage (PRL: 60679)
