That is because the Nexus 6P does not use Qualcomm Quick Charge, the 6P uses USB Type C to charge rapidly but only with a USB Type C to USB Type C cord that you use with your 6P original charger, not a USB Type A to USB Type C cord which you are probably using. If I'm wrong please correct me.

Yes you are correct. Definitely not a USB end
