Not sure why they changed this, it was a pretty cool feature. Anyone know how to disable it? Am i missing something?

I am also trying to find out the same thing. I use the pattern unlock so i dont need this. It is kind of annoying doing the slide unlock then having to do the pattern unlock right after!

Honestly I heard people say this when the 2.2 leak happened. I already had mine disabled, so luckily it just stayed that way after i updated to the leaked 2.2. I am hoping it does for the newer 2.2 update also.

I had my slide lock disabled on the 2.1 OS too , so its not toggled on in the update 2.2 :) . Since that option is no longer there glad I did tho, otherwise I would download NOLock from market that free app works great on Dinc

Anyone know where the option to just slide to unlock is. I don't want a pattern. I had it disabled b4 but want it back. And no lock doesn't seem to work.

In my screen lock settings, the options "none" and "pattern" are both greyed out, and say they have been "disabled by remote phone administrator". Who is that? When my lock timer kicks in, I now slide to unlock, then have to enter a pin number. wtf? I used to just use the pattern lock.

^^ Seeing the exact same thing, and would really love to know how to fix it.

Made a thread on it a few minutes ago.

Same problem kinda, all I want to use is the slide. Now I have to slide and then put in the PIN, there is no way to disable it the PIN, it is grayed out. Very annoyed.

Mine arent greyed out and gives me the option to change them ,I dont see anything about a phone administrator

Lock & Security >Set Up Screen Lock >"None",Pattern","PIN","password" all lit up, touching each one gives me the option to continue which I dont want to so I stopped but saw nothing greyed out I couldnt toggle on .

Were yall rooted ? Or on some corp. account ?

lost the "slide to unlock" option from my "locations & security". I liked the ability to have slide to unlock, now all i have is none, pattern, pin, and password. Has anyone found a fix to this? ive done a batt pull twice with no change. the only time I see that i can do the slide to unlock is when i set up the pattern option but i dont need two forms of protection. simplicity is sometimes better. I am not rooted.

Slide to Unlock is not protection in my opinion. I advice everyone to atleast use a pattern lock, but it's your phone and data. But just think, if your phone is ever lost or stolen, the damage that can be done before you even realize it.

Anyway though, I agree they should have left both options to be enabled or disabled. It's actually really dumb to have to slide to unlock and then put in a pin or pattern.

If its grayed out that means that you probably have Corporate Sync on your phone. i had the same problem, and I couldn't figure out how to disable it from my phone because for some reason it wasn't listed under my accounts.
