2.1 with wifi tether

Anyone come up with a good backup that enables wifi tether with 2.1.?
I am torn between putting 2.1 back on my phone or staying with my 2.0.1 with wifi tether. So Please someone come up with a perfect way to do this.

I didn't realize that they had fingered out a way tip do wifi tether with 2.0 1...I'm assuming that it's only via root, correct?

Correct, you need it rooted. Google should turn up the procedure, I've seen it in some other forums.

yeah it's quite easy to root and then install other "backups" or "roms" but i want to find one that has the 2.1 with wireless tethering
