How do i root a droid 2.2.1

Hello peeps, i need some help. I wanted to root my droid but can't find a way to do since this new update to 2.2.1

Looks like I spoke too soon, home screen redraws are back. It was great for about the first 24 hours, then went back to the same behavior. Press home, blank screen for 4-5 seconds.

Mine is still 10-15 seconds

I would LOVE to have something to complain about like all of you - problem is - i'm still waiting to update to 2.2 which was originally going to happen the month after i bought my Droid - then that was pushed back to sometime closer to the end of 2010 - then that gets pushed back to sometime in the first quarter of '11.
Far as i'm concerned you're all very lucky to have what you do. I'm beginning to think this is going to end up like my samsung and the outdated software and someone is going to decide we don't get the 2.2 update here in Canada. i bought my droid pretty much on the condition there would be an update.
