if you haven't decided on a ROM yet use the AC ROM in the Sticky section. it's super.

I did the downgrade successfully as posted on XDA. I stopped after 2.1 booted successfully, right before the unrevoked instructions. I proceeded to use the SimpleRoot method posted here.
This app has 4 steps... and the last step is supposed to flash a rom... but the hboot on my phone says Main Version is Older! Update Fail! Any help on this?
which rom are you trying to flash, if your trying to flash CM, you need an engineering bootloader.

cd /data/local
./flash_image misc /sdcard/mtd-eng.img
not having your phone to look at . . . it sounds like you didn't successfully revert back completely. hate to say it, but you may have to re-trace your steps.
go back and re-do the:
by itself and if that doesn't work. start from the beginning.Code:cd /data/local ./flash_image misc /sdcard/mtd-eng.img
So far so good. The updating process bypassed the TP part. Not really sure what it is for, but it's rebooting now.
