2.3.6 Update Problem: Phone resets

I have an unrooted GS2, today I updated my phone to 2.3.6 and after it downloaded and installed, it began to have problems. I keeps running acting like it resets. It runs the media scanner over and over, and kicks itself off the network to flight mode and says there is a problem with the network connection.. The launcher won't stay defaulted and various force closes appear from various programs. This all happens after a flash and it all starts all over again.

** One of the force closes says android activity system is not responding. **

Help! How do I reinstall the update or revert back to 2.3.4 which was very stable. Thanks for any help.

Ok, I took out the SD card and everything is fine. It runs without a hitch. So, do I need to reformat the SD card or there another software problem that is causing the SD issue? Thanks.
