Android Central Question

I have 2 pixel 3's that i purchased together just after released, why is it that one of them I have no problem charging from aftermarket usb to c cord but with the other i can only use the C to C that came with the phone, any others wont work even the cird that came with the other pixel3. Why would this be happening?

Are you saying that when using a USB-A <> USB-C cable the one device won't charge AT ALL? And the other device charges just fine (albeit slowly) with the same charger/cable?
If that's the case then it sounds like the one device is defective.

Yes that's exactly my issue , my carrier V****** says it's because they only charge with oem cable.. thanks for responding I'm gonna see if I can get replacement for manufacture defect, paid to much money for it not to be 100,%.

Yeah, Verizon is full of crap.
You should be able to use a standard USB-A <> USB-C cable and connect it to the USB port on your computer, laptop, ancient power brick, etc and expect the phone to charge.
If a given cable doesn't work at all on any phone that's one thing (bad cable; toss it) but if it works fine on one phone and not the other then something else is going on.
You should certainly rely on name-brand cables and chargers but you shouldn't be limited to the one charger/cable that came with the phone.
