Android Central Question

Q1 - Why are notification sounds not working.

I have been DIGGING around looking for an answer to this and I am resorting to just asking you folks. I use Nova Launcher and mostly base apps (ex: basic text app that came on the phone). Checking the notification channels it has several incoming text channels (custom contact sounds?) and 500+ 'removed channels'.

Q2 - When I use the search feature in the setting menu (LOOOVE that, btw), I get results that are not actually in the linked settings page. Ex: I can search for "Cam" and I get "Front cam x megapixel" and "Rear cam x megpixel" (the megapixel count being wrong in both cases) but when I click them it takes me to Phone Info, where they are listed allegedly, and I see NO camera information at all, including the stuff from the search.

Thank you to anyone taking the time to answer these. They have been driving me crazy and my google-fu must be weaker than I thought...

Can you confirm that the Ringtone/Notification volume slider is turned up? Sometimes people lose sight of the fact that there are different sliders for Ringtone/Notifications, Alarms, and Media.

Regarding question #2 , I'm not familiar with Doogee's system menu -- but in the Settings>About Phone menu, is it possible to bring up any submenus by tapping on the categories that appear there?

Haha, yes the volume is up. The tones are set in the message app itself, etc. By all apperances it should be working. It actually WAS working for a while. I've tried running through the obvious/googleable things to no avail.
As for the system info...well...it IS a China phone...so I knew what I was getting myself into. I found a lot of reviews and hands-on tests showing what I actually wanted from the phone. However some of the system info seems hidden (and wrong). Front cam and back cam with secondary sensor/cam. Nothing about them in system info, I can't click on the info in that menu to get to any camera info (yes, a couple things DO take me to deeper menus/infocards)...so I searched and I get info cards saying 8mp rear and 2mp front and nothing about the second rear optic thing. When clicked they take me to the general phone info page. In practice and with a couple device info apps, I get 12mp rear and 8mp front (same with looking at pictures taken in Photoshop).
Long and short of it... researching into how fake the stat claims are made me discover hidden system info and I was wondering if there is a easier way to just "show all" or "unhide" that info from the phone's end
(Even though it appears to be wrong, lol)

Well then...I restarted in safe mode and the notifications worked...then went back to normal and my widgets are a dumpster fire, bit the sounds are continuing to work on normal mode. So......it is working and I have no idea why or how or what changed...the worst kind of fix XD

That suggests that some app you installed is causing the issue. The tedious part is to uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.:-\
