2 User accounts seeing app notifications across accounts

My wife and I share a tablet running 4.2.2. When she installs an app that I have say Weatherbug I will get a duplicate entry showing in the notification area. Is there a way to fix this? Another thing I saw was when she installed Pinterest I was getting the notification in my list while on my user account even though I don't have it installed on my user account.

I would like to make sure the apps don't bleed over from one account to the other.
