Ring notifications on GW7

I use Ring cameras for my house and my aunt's house. (she lives 4 hours away and that's my only way to keep an eye on her.) I've had her set up for about a year. In all that time, when I received a motion notification from any of the cameras on my account, I'd receive a corresponding notification on my watch. I could simply lift my watch and see a snapshot of the motion captured along with the identifying information for the specific camera. With that, I could determine if the notification was something I could simply dismiss, or if it was something I needed to look at closer.

In the last 2+ weeks, I no longer receive the snapshot on my watch. I only receive the identifier: "motion at your front door" for example. I now have to pick up my phone every time I want a clue as to what any particular notification is. It's, to put it mildly, a PITA. I've not received an update on the watch since I got it. It's running One UI 6.0 out of the box. I've checked the battery settings to see if that is suddenly limiting my Ring notifications. There is no companion Ring app for the watch. There was a Ring app update dated 10.11.24, but nothing noted in the update beyond bug fixes and improvements. I'm currently staring at a brick wall trying to come up with any ideas for how to fix this. BTW, I did clear the cache and that didn't fix it. I even reset the watch......no luck. My base guess is that it's something to do with the Ring app, but it's just a guess.

I appreciate any thoughts/ideas anybody could offer. I'm stumped.

The Ring app update did change things, though... Now notifications (at least on the phone) show a mini-GIF of the detected motion. I can't remember if that changed the preview on the watch or not, but I can try it later when I get home (or if any motion is detected in the meantime).

I noticed the mini-GIF too. On the Samsung Members app, one of the "ambassadors" replied to my post having had the exact same experience with his GW7U and GW6C....all since the update. there's the answer. I posted my complaint directly to the developer address in the Play Store. guess we'll wait for another update.

Same issue with the Ring app.

I have rich notifications set in the app settings, so it should be sending them as before, but we know the only thing that could've changed was on the Ring app side because I can't even recall the last time my GWU received an update other than the day I got it.

I have multiple cameras between two different locations all running through one app. I don't think it's particular to doorbell model. don't know why the update hasn't made it up to you, yet.

Did your Ring app get an update also? The only thing I can figure is the update may depend on which model of doorbell you are using. I'm stuck on last update being October.
Nope, same thing. No update here since October. Must be a slow roll-out or device-specific for now. At least it's promising if someone got an update and it fixed the WearOS notifications.
