$200 eBay Nook Deal - Shipping Delay

I just got an email "congratulating" me with a $10 B&N gift card because they are sorry that "Due to an overwhelming demand, there was a delay in processing your re cent order for the Barnes and Noble NOOKcolor. We are making every ef fort to ship your order on time. As our apology, here is a $10 gift c ard."

Glad and grateful to have the $10 gift card, but would rather have (1) my nook (2) the ability to go down to their store 4 miles from my house and have them give me one.

Anybody else get in on the deal and get a delayed shipping notice?

The gift card/notice was the only correspondence I had since placing the order.

I had an email saying it was shipped March 1. It should be here tonight if the delivery company isn't dumb. I'm excited!

I got a tracking number the day after I ordered it. I ordered it at about 10pm, and got my tracking number before noon the next day. 2 days later it was on my porch. I was amazed at the speed of the shipping. Sucks that yours got delayed, but from the time you get the tracking number, it should only be a small wait.

I just went to buy a NC, and it looks like the eBay auction has ended :'( I'll keep a look out for other $50 off coupons.

I ordered Monday and got it yesterday (Thurs) and I live in CA - i think it was shipped from NJ. Also you get a tracking number in your paypal account so look there. There was no email about it.

Ordered mine at 10AM Wednesday, had a UPS tracking number by 5 PM, it actually was in UPS hands by Midnight, and I should receive mine on Monday.

Sounds like demand was high, and there is a supply problem as mentioned. Kudos to BN for sending you the gift card, but I u derstand that you'd prefer to have your tablet!

i got my 'shipped' notice last night. apparently for some reason they dropped the ball and didn't ship it for 4 days (thus the gift card).

The ebay auctions bt bn were total sweetheart deals. If i hadnt already posessed mine i would have jumped all over that auction. Congrats to those who got them. Have fun and be patient for their arrival: its worth the wait.

I recieved mine a day after I ordered it. I flashed it with nookie as soon as I got it and love the device. I will get another for my wife when they drop in price. We should start to see some refurbished ones before the end of the year. I already have a rooted Droid X that I use to tether the nook and it works great. I wanted a Zoom but can't justify spending $600 for a device that will be obselete in 18 months.
