Does anyone know if they are going to clearance out the 2013 moto x. I read they will put it on sale for 199 anyone else hear this?

Hello. It seems likely that they will lower the price on the 2013 model so look forward to that.

No, it's an awesome phone! But I would seriously wait to see the '14 X first. It'll only be $99 on contract. You'll at least be getting the latest model especially if you're signing a 2 year contract. I don't recall the screen size on the DNA but I believe it is bigger than the OG X. Good luck on your decision.

Droid DNA is a 5" screen, Moto X (1st-gen) is 4.7"

Yeah I like my DNA but the point was to actually go smaller. I want a phone that doesn't feel like it's being bent in half if I sit down with it in my front jeans pocket. However, the "early upgrade" notice I received from Verizon was a scam. And I don't use the term scam lightly, either. As it turns out, once they got me in the store I found out my "upgrade" was a chance to sign up for the edge program, which I could have done anyway a year ago if I wanted to pay full price and make installment payments, which I don't. Then they hammered me like used car salesmen and wouldn't stop. I actually had to raise my voice and say "I'm not buying anything from you today, get it?". My contract isn't up until Thanksgiving, plenty of time for another good compact phone to become available.

That's not a deal at all. Retail price of the new X is $499, and on contract is $99. So that implies $399 for the 2013 X, which has been the price for a long time.

It appears they are no longer selling the OG X on Moto Maker. I've also noticed that VZW doesn't have the OG X listed either which ticks me off cause my local store doesn't even have a 2nd Gen demo unit as of last night. So, if I had to guess, you have to get from Amazon or the likes to get a stock color. Could be temporary so they can fulfill the 2nd Gen orders.

I bought a two year warranty with my Moto X in July of this year. I would hope I would be able to configure the same phone If I needed too a year from now. I have a wood back and would like the same if I had to use the warranty.
