I do too.

I don't think the phone is worth what Google are charging. I think when it comes to hardware, Google is embarrassingly behind other OEM's. It's a decent phone, but not a complete package, like other phones on the marketplace imo.

I'll be holding off on the Pixel 4 and see what the reviews/owners comments are ok the phone.

If I knew the issues and missing features the phone would have before I bought it, I wouldn't have gotten the 3 XL.

I meant hardware D'Oh

What did you pay for last year that you got charged too much for ?
Hardware

Pixel 3 was one of the last phones released..
They didn't have the memory, no SD card
And a lot of things for it wasn't released for months.

Google was way behind for what they charged us.

Now what do they want to do.
Give us a battery that Samsung offered .
More ram that Samsung offered.
A better camera that we should if got more pixels last year.

Wait a yr and the pixel 4 will be cheaper.

And tell me if'n I'm wrong.
But wasn't they saying some 5G should be released at the end of last yr
And more this year
This is the 4th month of 19.
You been hearing much about 5 G
What I have heard is when ordering a phone..
Specify a 4G phone, or 5G.
How did 3G and 4 G work on the same phones.

Also, have they not said 5 G service gonna cost more.
Plus you have to buy a new phone.

Heard anybody say the new phones will work on both 4 G and 5 G network's.
And they will be unlocked SIMs.
So what are they doing exactly.

I have asked the mfg about why they don't offer more.
They say they build the phones to what the carriers want.
Forget the carriers wants.
What about the consumer's wants.

I didn't want Bixby in my wife's phone.
But there was no choice because Samsung said it was the carrier that wanted Bixby

Somebody should have a choice here.

I live way out in the country.
Will probably be one of the last to get 5g

But if I drive back to the big town of Houston.
I want my phone to be able to kick out of 4G and get in 5G.
Don't sound like they are gonna allow that yet.
So I'm just gonna sit on the money.

I am the opposite . I tried Samsung once that was enough for me.

While I can see that perspective, it depends on when "once" was. Back in 2014/15, the software was not great. I moved to the Pixels, but the Samsung software now is great IMO.

I have the Pixel 2XL and the Note 9 and I prefer the Note software to be honest (on Pie now). YMMV of course. I'm just saying Samsung has been steadily and consistently improving their software over the years. The Pixel OS's seem more glitchy by comparison nowadays as well. In any case, YMMV of course.

Google seems like they are out to lunch on designing a great phone.
And like they don't really care.
Don't understand what is up with them.

Slow one.
5 down, 1 up.

If things go 5G
Don't that mean my model and router need to be replaced
OMG!!!! I go mad when I have 12 down. I couldn't cope with 5 down. Does the internet even work properly at that speed? I can't believe America is the number 1 country in the world and the internet is broken....

I pay £25.50 a month for up to 70 down and 20 up. I get unlimited data for that price as well. That is home broadband.

For mobile data I get LTE around 40-50 down unlimited data, unlimited calls and texts and I can use my allowances in 70 countries for free. I pay £20 a month.

It is so expensive to live in America compared to the UK.

If I wanted to pay a lot more money.
And they will hang me with a land line, weather I want it or not
I can get 25 down
Lucky they don't own the rights
Where I live,or it would be 100.00 for 5 down and 1 up with a land line.
But FCC let's companies abuse us.
We pay a franchise fee so competition can't come out in the country.

Remind me again why the Pixel phones are not halo devices line the Pixel book. I keep struggling with why it seems like they build a phone that is slightly on par or below other flagship phones.

I like to keep in mind that Google's core business is data. IMO Their devices must excel in only one area, and that's data collection. Building a flagship device would be great for the consumer if sold at an attainable price, but if a lower tier device continues to serve Google's purposes then why go down the road of competing with the other brands?

I have a Pixel 2XL and love my phone. I've had Samsung in the past and it was okay. I like having a stock android. Samsung has too much bloatware for me that you can't uninstall. I don't really care about specs of the phones. I care about which one has the best camera on it. And right now the pixel phone line has the best camera. I will post pictures online and people are stunned to find out it's my cell phone, and not my DSLR. My husband has a Galaxy S9+ with work. I tried taking pictures with it, and they paled in comparison to my pixel. I love the fact that the day after Android Pie was released, my pixel was updated. When I had Samsung and LG. I would get it a year later when the next Android OS was released. I will stick with my Pixel line don't care if it's not the most feature rich phone. I love it anyway.
