Ewoks weren't as bad if you thought of them as pygmy wookies. The illiterate aforementioned critter from Naboo that shall not be named was a waste of computer animation and plot points. Lucas effectively made an idiot for the sole purpose of giving away an entire universe to the bad guy...and people still somehow liked him.

Edit: and the digitally remastered versions suck. They took out the old guy Darth Vader first at the very end of return of the Jedi and put in the new guy.

Ok, that's going a bit far. New Hope and Empire were awesome.

Empire strikes back was awesome. It wasn't all childish and didn't have anything cute and cuddly about it. I'd say it's the best one.
They all had some good parts to them. Episode l had that demon looking guy and badass light saber battles. Episode ll, pretty lame, except Natalie Portman is wearing some skin tight white clothes. Episode lll still lame, but probably the darkest George Lucas directed.
But yeah, empire strikes back, Han gets frozen in carbonite, Luke gets his hand chopped off, everyone ends up in a worse place than where they started.

Edit: the reason I like the original star wars so much is because George Lucas took a cheesy script and a low budget and made magic happen. The movie wasn't even expected to do that well, and decades later it's still given praises. I don't care for the digitally remastered crap, and I think George Lucas should've left the originals alone.

Yeah back before his head swelled and thought "he could do better, lucas did work some magic. Then it all went to his head and fell apart.

i had no problem with the ewoks, they at least had some kind of purpose. The one who shall not be named had none. Just like those silly clones, which, if you stripped the skin off the idiot, I am pretty sure the skeleton you would see would be in the shape of a clone
