2GB to 4GB

If I were to switch my SD card on my phone what I need to do other then just reformatting the other 4GB one and moving the stuff to that one? My phone is rooted but I am on the stock ROM atm.

I think you would have to copy everything from your 2GB to 4GB. I'm thinking i dont know for sure.

Correct, format the new one in your phone. Copy the old one to your pc, then copy that to your new one.

i jumped frmo 4GB to 16GB and it is a simple process
format the new card in your phone then transfer all your old files to the new card and it is a seemless process
