2nd May Update

So far, I have not noticed anything different on my ultra. Camera seems to focus ok. Could the problem be with camera lens protectors or maybe settings?

I do have a clear protector over my camera array but it was still taking focused photos, even with that on and cleaned. After the update, it just will not focus and drops about half a percent of battery per minute trying to find focus.

Am gonna post a couple photos in this thread that would normally go in the photos thread, but for the sake of diagnostics, will post here.

What do ya think? Rabbit @ 3x zoom flash on with clouds overhead, and Nissan Frontier 20x zoom from abour 150 feet away. Look abour how they should, or does focus still look off?

I have the carrier locked s22 Ultra. I received the newest 2nd May update this morning.

It seems like the phone standby time is better and the phone seems cooler to the touch. I will see how it responds after a full battery.

Maybe they throttled it down to improve the battery and temp? Should run a benchmark and see if the numbers have gotten lower.

Some more U.S. users with locked devices are reporting receiving the update. Haven't read too many reports of unlocked devices getting it yet.

Yeah standby is DEFINITELY better than old Samsung devices. For example, my S9 would lose about 12-15% overnight after being unused and unplugged from the charger.

Whereas with this phone(S22), its only losing about 4% in the same time period overnight after being unplugged from the charger and unused. Battery in use still seems to be a work in progress though.
