3.5mm jack on Car dock

Anyone know if there is an app or a ROM that will make the 3.5 jack on the back of the Fascinate car dock work? I want to be able to plug mine into my car radio while using the car dock.

until 2.2, no...

glad to see they're selling devices that will only work with "future" releases.. and that they're on track for a future release on time... it should be out by tuesday, since they promised the released of 2.2 by the end of november.

Correct, there was on thread here when the guy took VZW to task. They swapped something like six of them, they they learned that 2.2 will resolve it.

im so dismayed by the lack of certain features on this iteration of Android, and add to that the debacle that is necessary to get BING off my phone..

i'm currently waiting impatiently for the iPhone on Verizon... have a CC waiting until that business deal gets released publicly and I can put my order in!

I think the blame lies on Samsung, not Android. All these jacks worked fine on my prior phones running 2.1.

my blame is the wait for 2.1, its kinda embarassing for both companies (Samsung & Vzw) that 2.3 is coming out on other Samsung devices (the Nexus S), and we're still waiting for 2.2. the Galaxy S line was supposed to be the flagship phone products for Samsung, until Verizon had their way with the Android release.
