3 days with the Note 9

Had I only taken outdoor shots I think I could live with the Note 9... But then I got home and shot these (both auto and flash didn't go off for either):

That picture from the Note 9 is just awful IMO and should not be the result of a $1000 device!

Is that very bad? Looks ok to me, just difference in white balance

Im not having the wifi issue with my apps at home so it's definitely a work wifi issue. They must have did an upgrade or something because I didn't have this issue when I first got this phone.Since I can't go knock on the hospital ceo's door and tell him to fix his dang on WiFi I guess I'll just do what I can with it.lol. I'm just glad it's not the phone and I don't have to do a factory reset.

Yeah, I think it's pretty bad personally ...

Thankfully I think all the "issues" I have with the camera can be fixed via a software update. Just not sure if they will be addressed as there certainly doesn't seem to be a lot of chatter about it. Which leads me to believe that I am a picky SOB! LOL

Maybe it's not a wifi issue because now I'm on my mobile data and I'm getting the connection error. 🤷🏽*♂️

I went for a walk today and took both phones and simply snapped pics as I would normally during a walk (only I'd normally only use one phone LOL) and if I'm being honest there are some shots where I prefer the Note 9 shots over the Pixel. All shots from both were really good; Pixel colors are more accurate and true to life but, again if I am being honest, I think most folks would choose the Note 9 shots as they're more vibrant and punchy - especially if they were not familiar with the location where the shots were taken. I liked the Note 9 sky pics better than the Pixel. Selfies were no comparison, Pixel killed the Note 9 every single time. Portrait mode vs Live Focus was kinda a draw ... When they both got it right they looked really good but they both blew a few shots too.

I've played with that setting, with it both on and off I'm getting similar results.
I truly believe that this can be corrected via software, just disappointing (to me) to be experiencing this with a phone that was being hyped for it's camera.
Played with the picture I posted above on Snapseed for 2 minutes and was able to get it looking more the way I want. Just feel with a phone at this point I should not need to edit pics after the fact to get them looking good. Is that nitpicking? I suppose... but $1000 is a lot of money and one should be able to nitpick over something that's a major feature of said $1000 product.
